Homepage of Mikko Korhonen

I am currently at the University of Tampere.

Previously I worked at the Southern University of Science and Technology (2021 - 2025), and University of Manchester (2019 - 2020, postdoctoral fellowship funded by the SNSF). I obtained my PhD under the supervision of Donna Testerman at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

My main research interests are in group theory and representation theory. I am especially interested in simple algebraic groups and their subgroup structure, representation theory, and various properties of unipotent elements. In finite group theory, my interests are in topics related to groups of Lie type over finite fields, and primitive permutation groups.
